Frequently asked questions
Can you review or fix our existing firewall?
Yes. Firewall deployment and troubleshooting has been a core FOXMINDS service for more than 16 years. We audit rule bases, remove unused and risky rules, update firmware, fix VPN and routing issues, and set up high availability, across the main firewall brands.
How often should we run a penetration test?
At least once a year and after any major change, such as a new application, a cloud migration or a network redesign. Regulated organizations often test more frequently.
We are a small company. Do we really need this?
Yes. Smaller organizations are frequent ransomware targets because attackers expect weaker defences. A basic set of controls (MFA, patching, EDR, tested backups) stops most attacks and is affordable.
What does a penetration test include?
A written authorization and scope, reconnaissance, vulnerability analysis, controlled exploitation to prove real impact, an executive summary for management, a technical report with evidence and CVSS severity ratings, a remediation plan, and a retest of the fixed issues. See a full example.
Do you also provide physical security for data centers?
Yes. We supply and install CCTV, access control, fire detection and suppression, environmental monitoring and UPS for server rooms and data centers. See security solutions.
Can you help with data protection regulations?
We help you design controls and documentation aligned with Lebanon’s Law 81/2018 on electronic transactions and personal data, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, and sector requirements. We work alongside your legal advisers.
